VAEAI Schools Unit
The role of the VAEAI Schools Unit is to provide support and advice to
LAECGs as well as monitoring the Koorie Education Program within the Department
of Education, Employment and Training (DEET) and the Catholic Education
Office (CEO). The Schools Unit also manages the VAEAI Aboriginal Mentor
Program that is delivered through 10 LAECGs for their local communities.

Open Door Education Campuses
The VAEAI Schools Unit provides support and advice to the Glenroy KODE,
Wollem Bellum KODE (Morwell) and Mildura KODE. With the new KODE Campus
commencing operations in 2002, the VAEAI Schools Unit has been working
closely with the Swan Hill LAECG and community. Various teaching positions
exist in the KODE Campuses and new teaching and administration positions
will be offered at the new Swan Hill campus. If you are interested in
the positions or know anyone who is, please contact the VAEAI Schools
Unit for further information.
VAEAI
Aboriginal Mentor Program
The VAEAI Aboriginal Mentor Program Conference will be held on the 6th
and 7th December 2001 in Albury / Wodonga. All LAECGs and Local Aboriginal
Mentor Programs have been invited to attend.
Alfred
Felton Mentor Program
VAEAI, in conjunction with the Education Foundation and the ANZ Bank Trustees,
will develop and deliver a mentor program for previous Alfred Felton Scholarship
recipients. Details will be available to recipients before the end of
2002.
