Industry Training Board
In its role as an Industry Advisory Board, VAEAI provides
advice on he vocational education and training needs of the Victorian
Koorie community, primarily through the Koorie Training Plan and
through a range of other bodies which include:
- Tafe Koorie Advisory Committees
- Other Industry Training Boards
- TAFE Institutes and Colleges
- Private VET Providers
- Adult Community and Further Education
- Commonwealth and State Agencies
Responsibility
The VAEAI takes responsibility for providing direction to the Office
of Training and Further Education in the following areas:
- Identifying gaps in the training provision
- Assessing and advising on the quality and relevance of training
courses
- Advising on appropriate locations for training
- Evaluating the extent to which training provisions meets the
regional needs of Koorie communities.
- Ensuring that issues of access and equity are addressed within
the State Training System
